Comparison
9 Best Intent Data Providers for B2B (2026)
An honest comparison of the best B2B intent data providers in 2026 — Recepto, Bombora, 6sense, Demandbase, ZoomInfo, G2, TechTarget, Common Room and Trigify — by signal source, account vs person level, and who each is best for.
The best intent data provider is the one whose signal source matches how you sell. Bombora, 6sense and Demandbase are built for account-based marketing: they tell you which companies are researching a topic. Recepto, Common Room and Trigify are built for outreach: they tell you which person did something, and why it matters. G2 and TechTarget sit in between, with strong signals from their own networks.
Disclosure: we make Recepto. We have tried to describe every provider, including our own, from its own documentation, and to say plainly what each one is not good at. If you are new to the topic, start with our guide to what B2B intent data is.

1. Recepto
Type: Public conversation signals · Signal source: LinkedIn, Reddit, Slack communities, forums, X, job boards, news · Best for: Outbound teams that want a named buyer and a reason to reach out
Recepto watches public sources for 60+ buying signals — funding rounds, key hires, team expansion, technology changes, competitor complaints and direct requests for recommendations — and matches each one to your ICP.
Each lead is tied to the signal that surfaced it and comes with a 0–100 intent score and up to 10 named decision makers with verified contact details, and syncs to HubSpot or Salesforce. PlayList covers your whole market; WatchList tracks the accounts you name in depth.
Pricing is published: PlayList starts at $1,199 per quarter.
Watch out for: It only sees what happens in public. It does not track visitors on your website or topic research across publisher sites, so pair it with first-party tracking if you want both.
2. Bombora
Type: Publisher co-op · Signal source: Content consumption across a co-op of B2B publisher websites · Best for: Marketing teams that want topic-level surge data feeding ABM and ads
Bombora is the best-known pure-play intent provider. Its Company Surge score compares an account's research on a topic with that account's own historical baseline and flags a surge when consumption rises well above normal.
Its data is widely licensed into other platforms, so many teams use Bombora signals without buying from Bombora directly.
Watch out for: Surge data is account-level and updates weekly. It tells you a company is reading about a topic, not who is reading or why, so teams usually add a contact provider to act on it.
3. 6sense
Type: Predictive ABM platform · Signal source: Keyword research activity, website behaviour and other sources, combined by a predictive model · Best for: Enterprise ABM programmes that need buying-stage predictions
6sense combines several intent sources with your own CRM and web data and uses machine learning to place accounts in buying stages, so marketing and sales can prioritise accounts that look closest to a purchase.
It is a full revenue platform — advertising, orchestration and analytics sit alongside the intent data.
Watch out for: Predictions are only as good as the model and your data; reviewers note that stage assignments can be confidently wrong. It is sold on custom annual contracts and takes real implementation effort.
4. Demandbase
Type: ABM platform · Signal source: Bidstream signals from its own B2B ad platform, plus partner data · Best for: Teams running account-based advertising and ABM at scale
Demandbase reads intent signals through its own B2B demand-side platform and data partners, and combines them with account identification and firmographic data.
Customers can layer in third-party intent from Bombora, G2 and TrustRadius on top of Demandbase's own signals.
Watch out for: Like 6sense, it is an enterprise platform with custom pricing. If you only need intent signals for outbound, you will pay for a lot of ABM machinery you may not use.
5. ZoomInfo
Type: Contact database with intent · Signal source: Multiple intent sources attached to a large company and contact database · Best for: Sales teams that already use ZoomInfo for contact data
ZoomInfo attaches intent topics to its company and contact database, so a surging account comes with contacts to call. Its Streaming Intent product pushes intent changes as alerts rather than in a weekly batch.
Watch out for: Intent is an add-on to the database contract, and the contacts are database records rather than the people who showed the intent.
6. G2 Buyer Intent
Type: Review-site (second-party) · Signal source: Visits to G2 category, profile, comparison, alternatives and pricing pages · Best for: Software vendors with an active G2 presence
G2 reports which companies view your category, your profile, your competitors' profiles and pricing, and comparison pages that include you. Comparison-page views are a strong late-stage signal: the buyer is evaluating you against a named alternative.
Signals can flow into CRMs and ABM platforms, including Demandbase.
Watch out for: It only sees buyers who research on G2, and the signal types you receive depend on your G2 plan. Only relevant if you sell software listed on G2.
7. Informa TechTarget Priority Engine
Type: Publisher network (first-party to TechTarget) · Signal source: Research activity on TechTarget's own network of technology sites · Best for: Vendors selling enterprise technology to IT buyers
Priority Engine is built on research TechTarget observes directly on its own technology media sites, and it goes down to the prospect level: which people at an account read which content, including competitor-related content.
Watch out for: Coverage is limited to TechTarget's network, which suits enterprise tech but not every market. Users report stale contacts in places, so verify before sequencing.
8. Common Room
Type: Community and product signals · Signal source: Your product, website and CRM, plus community and social activity (Slack, Discord, GitHub, LinkedIn, Reddit) · Best for: Product-led and developer-focused companies with active communities
Common Room pulls together first-party signals and activity in communities and social channels, and resolves them to individual people and accounts. It is strongest when your own community, open-source project or product generates the signals.
Watch out for: Much of its value depends on channels you own or connect. If you have no community or product-led motion yet, there is less for it to work with.
9. Trigify
Type: Social engagement signals · Signal source: LinkedIn engagement and keyword monitoring across social platforms · Best for: Teams that want LinkedIn engagement signals pushed into their own workflows
Trigify tracks engagement on LinkedIn — who reacts to and comments on posts from you, competitors or influencers — plus keyword mentions, and pushes those signals into CRMs, workflows and AI agents. It publishes self-serve pricing with a free trial.
Watch out for: Engagement with a post is a weaker buying signal than a hire, a funding round or a direct request, and Trigify does not run outreach itself, so you need a sequencing tool alongside it.
How to choose an intent data provider
- Match the signal to the motion. Advertising and ABM need broad account coverage. SDR outbound needs a named person and a specific, recent reason to reach out.
- Decide account or person level. Account-level data prioritises a list. Person-level data starts a conversation.
- Ask for the evidence. Pick ten signals from a trial and ask where each one came from. If the provider cannot show you, your reps cannot use it in an opener.
- Check freshness and filtering. How quickly does a new signal reach your CRM, and how much of it falls outside your ICP?
- Pilot against pipeline. Two to four weeks, measured on meetings and pipeline, not on signal volume.
Most teams end up with two sources: one for account prioritisation and one person-level source for outbound. They overlap less than you would expect, because they watch different parts of the buying journey.
How we compared
We grouped providers by where their signal comes from, because that decides what the data can and cannot tell you, and described each from its own product pages and documentation as of October 2026. We left out figures that vendors change often or that sources disagree on, such as network sizes and list prices for providers that do not publish them. Products change; check each provider's site before you buy. Spotted something out of date? Tell us and we will correct it.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the best intent data provider?
- It depends on the motion. For ABM and advertising, publisher co-op and predictive platforms such as Bombora, 6sense and Demandbase fit best. For outbound sales that needs a named person and a reason to reach out, public-signal platforms such as Recepto fit best. Software vendors on G2 should add G2 Buyer Intent for late-stage comparison signals.
- What is the difference between account-level and person-level intent data?
- Account-level intent says a company is researching a topic but not who. Person-level intent ties a signal to an individual — the person who posted, was hired, or engaged — so a rep can personalise outreach to that person and that event.
- How much do intent data providers cost?
- Enterprise intent and ABM platforms are usually sold on custom annual contracts. A few providers publish prices: Recepto's PlayList plans start at $1,199 per quarter, and Trigify publishes self-serve monthly plans.
- Can I use more than one intent data provider?
- Yes, and most mature teams do, because each source sees a different part of the buying journey. A common stack is first-party website tracking, one third-party source for account prioritisation, and a person-level signal source for outbound.
- How should I evaluate an intent data provider?
- Run a two-to-four-week pilot on your own ICP and measure meetings and pipeline created, not the number of signals delivered. Ask to see the source evidence behind a sample of signals, check how fast new signals reach your CRM, and check how well the provider filters out accounts outside your ICP.
