Quick Response Technologies Private Limited (“Recepto”, “we” or “us”) offers a business intelligence platform to capture purchase intent data (“Platform”) through which businesses (“Customers”) or their authorised users (“Users”) that use the Platform can obtain information and use the Platform and the features associated with the Platform inter alia to enable outreach to potential customers (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy of Recepto (“Privacy Policy”) explains how we process personal data, including business contact information and other types of personal data that are submitted to us or accessed by us through our Services (including through the Platform) or otherwise stored, used, disclosed, inferred, acquired or processed by us in connection with developing, improving or providing our Services and giving access to the Platform to the Users.
This Privacy Policy also describes Recepto’s practices for collecting, storing, using, disclosing, and otherwise processing personal data in relation to visitors to our website, https://recepto.ai/ and our application hosted on the different web stores (collectively, “Website”), Recepto’s marketing activities, and Customers’ use of and access to the Platform and our Services.
For Data Principals whose personal data is included in Recepto’s database being accessed by the Platform and which are made accessible to the Customers based on parameters and filters setup by the Customers on the Platform (“Recepto Intelligence Network”, also referred to as ReceptoNet), this Privacy Policy is intended to provide you with information on Recepto and its Platform and Services, how you can opt-out of the Recepto Intelligence Network, and the potential outcomes and consequences of remaining in the Recepto Intelligence Network. You can opt-out or update your details as included as part of the Recepto Intelligence Network by mailing us at contact@recepto.ai.
By remaining in the Recepto Intelligence Network, you may be contacted by our Customers when they are conducting their business-to-business sales and marketing activities. Communications you receive from our Customers may be relevant to your enterprise, business, profession or job role, but we cannot guarantee that you will find such communications to be relevant or of interest to you or your enterprise, business, profession or job role.
By accessing the Services and/or our Platform, visiting the Website or otherwise participating in Recepto’s marketing activities, you acknowledge the collection, use, disclosure and other handling of your information as described below.
This Privacy Policy is meant for the visibility of all individuals who are interested in the rights that either apply to the information that Customers submit to us, we access on Customers’ behalf, or whose information we collect and use. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.
Information we use to provide the service
We use a variety of information that we obtain, access and store from various sources, including other data aggregators, our Customers and the networks (such as messaging groups, social media channels and user groups) they are part of, in order to provide the Services.
Information Customers and Users submit to us
Customers and their Users may provide a variety of information to us through the Services.
This includes:
Users’ own contact number and other personal data, such as name, email address, telephone number, job title, employer and location.
Other personal data, such as information shared on the messaging platforms, social media platforms and other online platforms and databases, that our Customers or their Users submit to us or provide us access through their use of our Services.
If we provide a payment option to Customers, our service provider(s) process your payment information, while Recepto does not have direct access to it, and if a Customer purchases one of our online subscription-based Services, the Customer may need to provide payment and/or credit card information, and other information to validate their payment method and identity. Our payment partner(s) will use that information to fulfil the Customer’s purchase request. We have an agreement with our payment partner(s) (presently, we utilise the services of Razorpay and xPay) to ensure that your payment information is processed in a secure and confidential way.
We likewise may request, and Customers and their Users may provide, additional information in order to create, support and maintain their account enabling access to the Services.
We refer to all of the above information referred to in this Section 1 as “Service Information”.
Our use of the Service Information is governed by our Terms of Service available at https://recepto.ai/terms-and-conditions (“Terms of Service”) and/or our other applicable agreements with those Customers or their Users, including the Data Processing Agreement available at https://recepto.ai/data-processing-agreement (“DPA”). All processing activities on behalf of our Customers are framed in a lawful and secure way, pursuant to the DPA.
Information we collect automatically
We also use automated means to collect a variety of information from visitors to our Website and Users of our Services. We refer to this information, which we describe below (in this Section 2), as “Usage Information.”
First, if you authorize a 3rd party service on our Website, or if you visit our Website, or open an email that we send to you, we and such third party service providers, may use automated means to collect information about you, your computer or other device, your use of the Website or engagement with the email, to provide measurement services, and/or target and deliver advertisements. These automated means include technologies such as Cookies, Web Server logs, Web Beacons, Pixels, and JavaScript, to name a few, as well as functionality that can collect data from a mobile device.
“Cookies” are files that websites and online services create and access on your computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify your browser or to store information or settings on your device. Our Website, our Platform and the Services may use HTTP cookies, HTML5 cookies, Flash cookies and other types of local storage (such as browser-based or plugin-based local storage), to name a few. If you visit our Website or use our Platform and/or Services, your browser may tell you how to be notified when you receive certain types of Cookies and how to restrict or disable certain Cookies. Please note, however, that without Cookies or local storage, you may not be able to use all of the features of our Website or the Services.
In conjunction with the gathering of information through Cookies and other automated means, Web Servers may log information such as your device identifiers, device type, operating system type, browser type, domain, and other system settings, as well as the language your system uses and the country and time zone where your device is located, among other things. The Web Server logs may also record information such as the address of the Web page that referred you to the Website and/or our Services, the IP address of the device you use to connect to the Internet and the phone number or your profile user name and other accessible profile details (that includes your email ID) that you use in a closed or open community, messaging platform, social media platform, forum, group, website or app. It is however clarified that we will access information shared over these third party platforms only when you approve the Platform to get access to such third party platforms, especially the channels, messaging groups and similar closed and open user groups in such third party platforms. Cookies and similar technologies may also log information about your interaction with our Website or the Services, such as which pages you visit or which Services functionality that you use, including by tracking page content, movements, and keystroke activities, in a manner that allows us to reproduce and fix issues and to identify areas of improvement for the Platform and our Services. We may also use Cookies and other similar technologies to track the activities of Users of the Platform, visitors of our Website, as well as individuals who have posted the messages constituting the Service Information on other third party websites and social media channels. In connection with the Service Information specified above, we may, by way of Cookies and similar technologies, log and store information provided in the messages and posts shared on the messaging platforms, social media platforms and other online platforms and databases, details about the sender of the messages and posts, and the frequency in which such messages and posts are shared.
You can opt out of the use of these software tools by contacting us at contact@recepto.ai or by opting out of any data collection by any non-essential Cookies using the banner, if available on our Website. To control which Web servers collect information by automated means and analyse user interactions with the Platform and enhance our Services, we may place Tags, Tracking Pixels, Web Beacons or other similar technologies on our Website which may be files that link Web pages to particular Web servers and their Cookies and helps us collect data such as page views, user engagement, and conversion metrics. We also may include Web Beacons or other similar technologies in e-mail messages that we send to you. We or third parties may also send instructions to your device using JavaScript or other computer languages to store or gather the sorts of information described above and other details about your interactions with the Website, the Platform or the Services.
Information we collect from marketing and sales activities
You provide your personal data to us when you voluntarily fill in forms on our Website, such as when you request a demo or contact our sales representatives. This personal data may include: first and last name, company name, job title, email address, country and/or state, phone number and the content of your request, among other things.
You may also share personal data with us through our Website when you register for an event or online webinar or training; sign up to receive emails or newsletters; download information; or complete a survey. If you attend a virtual/ online event or agree to be recorded in a telephone or video meeting, we may record some or all of that event. We use this information for business, marketing and training purposes, to train and improve our Platform and Services.
We refer to all of the above information referred to in this Section 3 as “Marketing Information”.
Use of Service Information, Usage Information and Marketing Information
How we use the Service Information
We use the Service Information for several purposes:
To provide, evaluate and improve the Platform, the Services or the Website.
To enable our Customers to access the business prospect profiles retained in the Recepto Intelligence Network for the purpose of providing our Services.
Enrich, update, cross-check and validate the data available in the Recepto Intelligence Network with current and up to date business prospect profiles.
Respond to your inquiries, support request, feedback, or questions, in case your information is stored in the Recepto Intelligence Network.
To analyse how the Platform, the Services or the Website is used.
To otherwise administer and troubleshoot the Services or the Website.
To create new products, services and tools that we may use internally or offer to others, including Customers.
To verify your identity and establish your account.
To send you updates, emails, newsletters and other information that may be of interest to you.
To analyse how the Services or the Website is used.
To otherwise administer and troubleshoot the Services or the Website.
To communicate with Customers regarding their purchase, inquiries, support request, feedback, or questions.
To process and fulfil the Customers’ order(s), including sending the Customers any necessary emails related to their purchase of the paid services.
To register, maintain and manage User accounts or their subscription with us.
To administer and provide the Services and customer support per Customer’s or User’s request.
To personalize our Services for the User.
When we obtain the Service Information for purposes of our own corporate business relations and development and our marketing initiatives, such as to find and communicate with businesses we believe may be interested in our Services, we may use the Service Information for marketing and advertising, such as to notify businesses about our Services.
To be responsive to you and maintain our business relationship, we will use Users’ information to:
Send you announcements in relation to security, privacy, or administrative related communications.
Personalize our Services to ensure content from our Services is presented in the most effective manner for you and your device.
Administer our Services, and for internal operations, to conduct troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey analysis.
Comply with legal obligations or to enforce our Terms of Service and to protect or defend the Services, our rights, the rights of our Users, or others.
How we use the Usage Information
We use the Usage Information for several purposes:
To provide, evaluate and improve the Services, the Platform or the Website.
As part of the Services, to provide marketing leads to the Customers and Users from the Recepto Intelligence Network.
To send advertisements to you when you are on the Website or the Services or visit other websites (or other media channels and applications); create, tailor, deliver and study the effectiveness of advertising and promotional material both on and off the Website or the Services; and to perform other analytics activities.
How we use Marketing Information
We use Marketing Information that you provide to us:
When you fill in forms on our Website or at a virtual/ online event to respond to your request, provide requested information, and to contact you about that request.
To send you updates, emails, newsletters and other information that may be of interest to you.
To sign you up for our newsletters or alerts.
To verify the user’s registration to the Services and approve the user’s email address.
If you opted into marketing, to communicate with users about our latest updates, upgrades, and products.
For any other business purpose stated when collecting your Marketing Information or as otherwise set forth in applicable data protection laws.
Additional uses of information
We may also use the Service Information, Usage Information or Marketing Information to (a) try to keep the Services and/or the Platform safe, and (b) investigate, prevent, or take action regarding unlawful or harmful activities, including potential fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service or other agreement(s) with you or the Customers, including the DPA.
Sharing your information
We may share the Service Information with the following parties:
Our Customers and their Users, as part of our Services (including access to the resources in Recepto Intelligence Network); and Customers for accessing marketing leads from the Recepto Intelligence Network.
Companies that perform services for us, with us, or on our behalf, including without limitation advertising and data platforms and companies, social media and messaging platforms and communication and collaboration platforms (including those working with our Customers and business partners and being accessed by the Platform for the provision of Services), providers of technical infrastructure and technical and customer support, hosting providers, billing support and payment providers, and data enhancement platforms.
Business and data partners, in the course of creating new data services and solutions.
We may share the Usage Information with the following parties:
Companies that perform services for us, with us, or on our behalf, including without limitation advertising and data platforms and companies, providers of technical infrastructure and technical and customer support, cloud/ hosting providers, Artificial Intelligence services providers, billing support and payment providers, advertising, data enhancement and marketing partners, and e-mail service providers.
Our Customers and their Users, as part of our Services, to the extent relevant for them to access marketing leads from the Recepto Intelligence Network and gain better insights on the activities of such marketing leads.
We may share the Marketing Information with the following parties:
With companies that perform services for us, with us, or on our behalf, including without limitation advertising and data platforms and companies, providers of technical infrastructure and technical and customer support, cloud/ hosting providers, Artificial Intelligence services providers, billing support and payment providers, advertising, data enhancement and marketing partners, and e-mail service providers.
In any other circumstance where we have collected or you have provided such Marketing Information to us for any purpose disclosed by us when we collect the Marketing Information, such as with event sponsors or other third-party business partners.
We may share the Service Information, Usage Information and Marketing Information:
In connection with efforts to detect and address fraud, credit risk, security or technical issues.
Without restriction when the information is aggregated, anonymized or de-identified.
In connection with significant corporate events. For example, we may share or disclose information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets, such as in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, dissolution or liquidation, or take steps such as due diligence in anticipation of any such event.
When we believe in good faith that such sharing is reasonably necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding possible unlawful activities or to comply with legal process or other legal requirements; when we deem disclosure appropriate in situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, potential violations of our terms (such as our Terms of Service or the DPA), or claims of violation of the rights of third parties; or when we deem disclosure appropriate to protect the rights, property and safety of us, our employees, users, or another person or entity (the disclosures described here may involve the good faith sharing of your information with, for example, law enforcement, government agencies, courts, or other parties); and
In any other circumstance where we have appropriate consents or are otherwise permitted by law to share it.
Your choices, and how to remove your content and information
We may offer Customers self-serve options for updating their account information and indicating their preferences with usage of the Services.
If you are a Data Principal and do not want information about yourself to be included in or accessed by the Services or the Platform, or for your details to be used as part of Recepto Intelligence Network, please submit a request on contact@recepto.ai. We will keep your information in order to suppress it from being included in the Recepto Intelligence Network accessible to our Customers. Please note that this will not remove your data from the databases of other parties (such as our Customers, other data providers (as applicable) or the platforms (including messaging platforms, social media platforms and communication and collaboration platforms) that the Customers provide us access to for the provision of Services) who may already possess your data. Additionally, you can request and obtain a report detailing the information Recepto has collected on you or processed on behalf of our Customers by submitting a request on contact@recepto.ai.
Security
We understand the importance of the security of the information we collect, but we cannot promise that our security measures will eliminate all security risks or avoid any security breaches. When you provide information to us, you do so at your own risk. Please help to do your part by taking steps such as (1) using a strong, unique password for our Services or access to our Platform that you do not use elsewhere, (2) protecting the confidentiality of your password, and periodically changing it, (3) accessing our Services and Website only from devices that have an up-to-date operating system and anti-virus protection, and (4) notifying us of any suspected unauthorized activity or any breach of the confidentiality of your login credentials. Taking these steps may help lower the risk or impact of certain security threats.
We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Although we take these steps to protect your information, we recommend that you do not use unsecured channels and online platforms to communicate sensitive or confidential information to us. Once we receive your information, we take all appropriate technical and organizational measures, reasonable precautions, and follow industry best practices to safeguard your information against loss, theft, unauthorized use, access, or modification.
Third party links and services
The Services, the Platform and/or the Website may contain links to third-party websites, applications and services and may also contain Cookies and other third-party content and features. Your clicking on these links or your viewing or interacting with any of these services or platforms, or third parties may result in the collection, use and sharing of information about you by third parties. We are not responsible for the content, security or practices of any third parties. The information you choose to provide to or that is collected by these third parties is not covered by our Privacy Policy. You should review those third party policies and terms to determine how the data they collect from you will be handled.
Children/ Minors
The Services are not targeted to or intended for children under the age of 18 years. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18 years. If you are under the age of 18 years, you may not submit information about yourself to our Services. No personal data should be submitted to our Services, the Platform or the Website by individuals who are under 18 years of age. We reserve the right to modify or remove any information on the Platform, Website or Services, including the Recepto Intelligence Network, at our own discretion.
If we become aware that a Data Principal under the age of 18 years has shared any information, we will discard such information. If you have any reason to believe that a minor has shared any information with us, please contact us at contact@recepto.ai.
Retention
Data shared by Customers will be retained by us strictly on our Customer’s behalf, in accordance with their reasonable instructions and as further stipulated in our Terms of Service and DPA and other commercial agreements with such Customers.
Data of Users will be retained by us for as long as it is reasonably necessary in order to maintain and expand our relationship and provide our Services and offerings; in order to comply with our legal and contractual obligations; or to protect ourselves from any potential disputes (i.e. as required by laws applicable to log-keeping, record and bookkeeping, and to have proof and evidence concerning our relationship, should any legal issues arise following your discontinuance of use).
Business profiles will be retained by us for as long as necessary to provide our Services, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our policies.
If you wish to remove or update your data existing as part of the resources in Recepto Intelligence Network or if you prefer that we not share your data with our Customers or Users, you may opt-out by sending us an mail at contact@recepto.ai. In this case, we shall not continue to process your data. We maintain a suppression list to ensure that opt-out requests are respected and that such individual business profiles are not published in or added as resources in Recepto Intelligence Network in the future.
Retention periods will be determined considering the type of information that is collected and the purpose for which it was collected, bearing in mind the requirements applicable to the situation and the need to destroy outdated, unused information at the earliest reasonable time.
Your rights
We allow you to access your personal data, edit or obtain data collected about you by contacting us at contact@recepto.ai. For deletion and opting out, you need to email to contact@recepto.ai.
You may have other rights around your personal data, such as the right to access your data, the right to update or amend your data, the right to delete your data, the right to restrict how we use your data or object to our usage (including objecting to marketing), the right to ask for a summary of personal data processed by us, the right to know the identities of businesses and individuals having access to your personal data and/or the right to withdraw consent and the right to complain to the local data protection authority (if any) of your local jurisdiction. We process personal data about you in reliance on your consent. We may also process data to comply with our legal obligations, or to fulfil a contract that we have entered into with you or our Customers.

We act as a data processor for our Customers (for example, when our Customers use the Services to share information about or process and synthesise information on prospects regarding business opportunities). In cases where we act as a data processor to our Customers, you should direct any requests to exercise your data protection rights to the relevant Customer of our Services, and not to us. If you are uncertain whether we process your personal data as a Data Fiduciary or a Data Processor in any specific context, you can contact us at contact@recepto.ai for more information.
We delete personal data when a Data Principal requests deletion of her personal data or objects to us processing her data (unless we have a valid legal justification to retain it, including compliance with our legal obligations). Where applicable, we also retain personal data which is necessary to keep in a suppression file, i.e., so if we obtain someone's data again, we will be able to exclude it from use.
Please do not provide information to us unless you have the proper consents required in the country in which the information was collected.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be modified from time to time as our business practices and legal requirements evolve. If this Privacy Policy is modified, we will provide notice of the change by posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Website (or its successor), and including the effective date of the update.
If you disagree with the Privacy Policy or any changes to it, you should delete your account to access our Services and our Platform, and you should avoid providing any information to us or to our Customers for being then stored and processed by the Services and our Platform and made accessible on the Recepto Intelligence Platform.
